Mifcom, renowned for its high-end custom computer solutions, faced the limitations of its Magento-based eCommerce platform. As the complexity of its products grew and demand surged, the platform could no longer keep up with their needs. The lack of flexibility impacted their ability to efficiently manage orders and compromised the overall customer experience, from product browsing to payment checkout.
To continue its growth trajectory and maintain its reputation for delivering premium customized hardware, Mifcom needed a robust, scalable eCommerce solution—one that would improve operational workflows, integrate with their existing ERP systems, and elevate the entire customer experience.
Solution: A Custom-Built eCommerce Platform for Growth
Understanding the intricacies of Mifcom’s business, Itekako embarked on a full-scale redesign of the eCommerce and ERP system. The new platform is being developed to be highly scalable, with dedicated services for order management and payment checkout to streamline Mifcom's workflows.
Based on the requirements for a comprehensive future-proof solution, Itekako designed and implemented new components and services while utilizing and expanding existing ones to maximize Miifcom's investments. The resulting system tailored to the current and future needs is based on the tech stack including Node.js, Next.js, Strapi CMS, and PostgreSQL for the customer-facing solution as well as C#, VB.NET and MSSQL for backend and ERP systems integrating ERP functionality and ensuring that data migration processes were seamless, the solution is laying the foundation for Mifcom’s continued expansion, while improving efficiency across operations.
Although the platform is still in development, early feedback indicates that the new system is set to drastically enhance both internal operations and the user experience, setting Mifcom on the path to future growth.
Moreover, until the new shop was fully operational, Itekako’s team managed to increase the capacities and speed of the existing shop by up to 400%.
